New Music From Wheat!

After taking off a few years during the middle part of the decade, Wheat seems to be back with a vengeance. They released the excellent That's Exactly What I Wanted... Exactly That mini-album in late 2006, and the even better Everyday I Said A Prayer For Kathy And Made A One Inch Square LP in 2007. And while they didn't tour a whole lot behind those discs, the shows they did were excellent.

Now comes news that the band has two more releases on the way. First up is a brand new mini-album entitled Move=Move, featuring the radio single of the song "Move=Move" from Everyday I Said A Prayer... as well as four brand new tracks. Empyrean Records is selling a bonus edition of the mini-album which comes with a bonus CD of instrumental tracks and videos, as well as 18x24 screen printed original artwork, for just $20.

Here's the excellent title track from the mini-album:

Wheat, "Move=Move"

There's also word that the band has started working its 5th studio album, which will also come out on Empyrean. There's no release date yet, but it sounds like we shouldn't have to wait too long.
