Here's the first track from The Decemberists forthcoming LP, The Hazards of Love, due out on March 24th via Capitol Records.

As someone who has been more and more disappointed with the past few albums, I gotta say that I'm pretty happy with this song. Mainly because it doesn't try too hard to be cute, which has been a real problem on the last couple of albums for me.

If you haven't been a fan of the band before now, you probably won't change your mind on the basis of this song. But I personally find myself pretty hopeful for the album, which is a pleasant surprise.
