Check Out Mittenfields

So there's a new DC band that you should check out called Mittenfields.

The band has several songs, including three live performances, available on their MySpace page, and I can't seem to stop listening to the first track, "Look Both Ways". The band describes itself as "Ambient/Pop/Minimalist", but there's nothing minimalist about this tune. In fact, the tune reminds me a lot of the Pixies.

I don't know a whole lot about these guys yet, other than that Dave M. who does some show booking around DC plays bass for them. However, I plan to be at their show at Solly's next Friday, and I'll report back more then.
