Old School SDRE

I mentioned the other day that Guns n' Roses and Metallica were my favorite bands during the period from about 1987 to 1990. From 1991 to 1994, it was Nirvana and Dinosaur Jr. From 1994 to 1996, it was Guided by Voices and the Afghan Whigs (both of whom still hold the distinction) as well as Sunny Day Real Estate.

Sadly, I never managed to see SDRE live, during either their first or second go-round. Thankfully, though - and amazingly - MTV still has video from the band's performance on 120 Minutes from 1994.
