New Dirty Pretty Things, "Tired of England"

I'm a few weeks late on this, but Dirty Pretty Things have a video for "Tired of England", the lead single from their forthcoming second album, Romance at Short Notice (out in the US as an import on 6/31).

It's not as raucous as the songs from the first album, but it's got a lot more going on, and actually sounds - to me, at least - quantifiably different than anything that The Libertines would have written. That's a good thing. While I loved the Libertines, it's good to see Carl stretching his wings a bit and expanding his songwriting.



BTW, I'm downloading the new album as I write this, so expect some additional thoughts before too long.
