Bob Pollard is Back on the Road
After swearing off touring a couple of years ago, Bob Pollard is returning to the road this fall with his brand new band, Boston Spaceships.
The band, featuring Chris Slusarenko, John Moen of the Decemberists, the immortal Tommy Keene, and Jason Narducy, will be touring in support of its debut album, Brown Submarine, which comes out on September 9th.
They're streaming the first song from the album, and I gotta say... it's damn good. Check it out:
Boston Spaceships, "Go For The Exit"
And, in other, unsurprising news, Bob's project The Takeovers also has a new EP called "Little Green Onion Man", which seems to be available now.
Looks like I'm gonna have to buy tickets to both the DC and NYC shows...

2 Comments:
The club they are playing Philly is tiny. Maybe 200 people, tops.
That's weird. Highline holds 700, and Black Cat holds 550 officially (but probably 700-ish if they push it).
The last time I saw him was at a half-full Bowery Ballroom, so he may be shooting a little high outside of Philly.
