No Depression Magazine To Stop Publishing

This is unfortunate. Idolator is reporting that alt-country mainstay No Depression will cease publication following its May/June 2008 issue.

Granted, I haven't read No Depression in years (or many other print magazines for that matter), but it's still a loss. It's especially sad given that another of my old favorites, Punk Planet, also recently shut down its print edition as well. Those two magazines were just about the only reason I ever used to go to the old Tower Video and Books store on Lafayette and East 4th.
