News Roundup

Some odds and ends for a Tuesday afternoon.

- Hot on the heels of their excellent Left For Dead LP, Wussy will be releasing a brand new EP via Shake It Records sometime this Spring. In addition, they've also added a second New York-area show to their March tour, this one on Thursday, March 27th at Maxwell's in Hoboken. Man, why the hell did I leave New York?

- The Replacements' first three albums and an EP are finally being remastered and reissued by Rhino Records Rhino in April. I hate buying the same albums multiple times, but this is one band I'll do it for. (Thanks to Sal C for the original heads up!)

- After weeks of rumors, it has been confirmed that the legendary infamous better-than-Velvet Revolver Stone Temple Pilots will be reuniting for the killer rockin' shitty Rock on the Range Festival in May featuring a bunch of great good other acts likes Kid Rock, Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Staind, Papa Roach, Seether, Flyeaf, Shinedown, Serj Tankian, a reunited Filter (just. go. away.), Killswitch Engage and Finger Eleven. I've already started making plans to be out of the country that weekend.

- Rolling Stone gives Vampire Weekend only 3.5 stars. Doesn't Rolling Stone realize they went to Columbia?

- And, finally, David Lee Roth must've done a lot of coke back in the day. (Thanks to DC Rock Club for the heads up!)
