DC Show Update

Updated due to lots of new stuff - updates are in italics

I'm posting this week's DC Show Update a little early this week in light of the absolutely huge week of on-sales at the Black Cat. I figured some folks might want a heads up that they're gonna be spending quite a bit of money on shows this week (although I do need to remind myself that DC folks don't tend to buy tickets on the day they go on sale like in New York).

I'll be updating with 9:30 Club and Rock and Roll Hotel shows when they're announced, and anything else that gets announced in the next couple of days, including the rumored Radiohead show at Nissan Pavilion on Mother's Day (tipped via the 9:30 Club forum). [See below -- it's confirmed]

You should seriously consider going to the Jay Reatard show at the Black Cat. It may be the most intense 20 minutes of music you see all year.

Yeah, I forgot to bold his show. He's on my initial list of acts to catch at SXSW. I really like the stuff I've heard on his MySpace page, and I know he's friends with the Reigning Sound guys, so that's enough for me.
