Big Swell Season Tour, No Frames?
Well, I guess I got myself all excited for nothing. Instead of a spring Frames tour, we're instead getting a spring Swell Season tour. Unless someone can promise me that the crowd isn't going to filled with 50-something Baby Boomer NPR-listening couples swooning over how "romantic" it is that Glen and Marketa are a couple, well, I'm gonna have to pass on this one.
Oh, and by the way... look at the size of these friggin' venues. Radio City? Tower Theatre? Wow.

well.... the Frames are supposed to be playing Telluride too. So at least there's ONE small tiny itty bitty consolation ('course it will only be a few songs but.... just looking for a silver lining)
I'm holding out hope that its because they already toured for the Cost & need to put out a new album first? Yeah, they're totally riding Once/Swell Season but hopefully its just a passing phase? Cash in and get back to the good stuff.... I hope....
Yeah, I don't blame Glen for riding the Once thing. He's been toiling for 20 years and if this is what it takes for him to have some success, then good for him. Besides, I do think the music from the movie was fantastic, so it's not like he "sold out" for the success or anything.
For me it really just comes down to the crowd.
