Ike Turner, RIP
Just saw over at MSNBC that Ike Turner has died. He was 76.Guess we'll never get clarification as to exactly how he justified this gem to himself:

I think he meant that he dropped her with one punch, whereas a beating would consist of several blows.

Yeah, I get that... it's more a question of how Ike seemed to think that because he didn't "beat" her with multiple hits that it was somehow ok.
Yeah, I was being an ass. Ovbiously, there's no excuse for a single blow, so the (hypothetical) lack of a SERIES of blows is nothing to be proud of.
