Wilco @ Charlottesville Pavilion, VA [10/20/07]

All that needs to be said about this show can be summed up by listing the songs played in the second encore:

"Red-Eyed and Blue"
"I Got You (At the End of the Century)"
"Casino Queen"
"Outtasite (Outta Mind)"
"Hoodoo Voodoo"

Oh, and at other points during the show we heard "It's Just That Simple", "Too Far Apart", "Sunken Treasure" and "Misunderstood".

I gotta say... I love Wilco, and I love their last few albums, but man -- these are the songs that made me fall for Wilco in the first place. I love Wilco the semi-experimental rock band, but I freaking worship Wilco the loose and limber rock and roll band. I'm beyond thrilled that we got a glimpse of the latter last night. I just hope it doesn't go into hiding again for another 5 years.

That said, the following songs can feel free to go into hiding for 5, or 10, or even 15 years:

"Heavy Metal Drummer"
"I'm The Man Who Loves You"
"A Shot In The Arm"

Retire these songs, fellas. Think of the children.
