Two New Bob Pollard Songs

As I mentioned last week, both of Bob Pollard's upcoming releases are now streaming for free over at the Merge Records website.

If you don't have time to listen to the full albums, however, you'll be glad to know that Uncle Bob has seen fit to make a couple of MP3s available on his website.

You can preorder the discs here. You can buy them separately for $13 each or together for $23.

If you can only buy one, this might help you decide - according to the Merge site, Bob calls Coast to Coast Carpet of Love his id, and Standard Gargoyle Decisions his ego, and himself his Super Ego. So, depending on where you fall in the whole Freudian thing, you may prefer one disc over the other. Or not.

Or you could just go with Merge's description - Coast to Coast is Bob's poppier, "Beatles" side, and Gargoyle is his punkier, "Stones" side.

It all makes perfect sense now.
