Hot Rod Circuit Playing R&R Hotel on 12/7

Man, I honestly had no idea Hot Rod Circuit was still around. I was a pretty big fan of theirs in the early part of the decade, and still listen to If It's Cool With You It's Cool With Me pretty regularly (usually on the elliptical machine at the gym). They signed with Vagrant around 2002 (the same year they opened for the Get Up Kids / Superchunk tour) and put out a couple of albums that were supposed to be their big "breakthroughs" (Sorry About Tomorrow and Reality's Coming Through). That didn't exactly work out for 'em.

Anyway, the band apparently put out an album on Immortal Records earlier this year called The Underground is a Dying Breed, and from the songs I've heard on their MySpace page, it sounds excellent. I'll need to pick up the disc, and I'll definitely need to check them out when they're in town.

If you're a fan of late 90's emo (i.e., when guitars, and not eyeliner, made a band) - think Get Up Kids, Cadillac Blindside, early Jimmy Eat World, etc. - be sure to check them out.
