I just got my hands (err, hard drive) on the new Babyshambles disc, Shotter's Nation, and I gotta say... it's pretty damn excellent. The disc comes out of the gates with four great songs back-to-back, slows a little bit with a couple of so-so songs, and then kicks back in gear for an amazing second half of the disc, capped off with "Lost Art of Murder", a fantastic song that I've linked to before.

It would be putting it lightly for me to say that I'm surprised how much I like the album. I didn't much care for Down In Albion, and I had started to think that all the talent had gone with Carl into Dirty Pretty Things.

I was wrong. Well played, Pete.
