Drive-By Truckers @ Castle Clinton, NYC [7/19/07]

And to think I almost skipped this show tonight. Damn. The Drive-By Truckers absolutely killed (particularly the second half of their set). I'm a Jason Isbell fan, but I think the band is going to be just fine without him. I had originally planned to come home, change, and head down to see Jason's solo set at the Mercury, but I think I'm gonna call it an evening. Besides, as good a set as I'm sure Jason will put on, it would have a hard time supplanting the Truckers' set in my mind.




Oh, and Patterson mentioned at the end of the set that they'd be back in October. Sure hope they do a D.C. date then too.
