Tocotronic?
Anybody know anything about the German band Tocotronic? Randomly came upon their new video today (below), and it's pretty decent. Then I listened to a couple of short clips of their earlier discs on eMusic, and those were pretty interesting too. Now I'm trying to decide if they're worth using eMusic credits or not, and if so, which album I should download. Any thoughts?

Tocotronic are an institution in German indie. They have been around for more than 10 years and were part of the "Hamburg school". They have changed their sound in the last two albums. I recommend listening to some old stuff as well (e.g. the k.o.o.k album)
Thanks... I actually listened to a couple clips from K.O.O.K. the other day and liked what I heard. Now I just need to decide whether to get the original disc (in German) or the re-recorded version in English. My grasp of German is pretty much nonexistent.
Check out Es ist Mir Egal, Aber. Classic album, punk edges. The lyrics are great, very observational and every day, meaning in the abstract and unsaid. Blah blah!
