Van Halen Tour Cancelled Already

Wow, these guys are more screwed up than Axl Rose. Less than a week after announcing a 40-date summer tour, the kinda-sorta reunited Van Halen have cancelled their tour. No word as to why yet, but I'm guessing Eddie was worried a tour would hurt his burgeoning porn music business. Or maybe Valerie Bertinelli realized that she didn't want her 15-year old son touring, drinking and whoring for two months.

Yeah, I saw the Fair Warning, Diver Down & 1984 tours. Never knew they had personal problems offstage. They always seemed cool with each other. Know a guy, who knows a guy who said he met Roth in a coffee shop, and invited him to smoke a joint with him at his buds house. Said he was totally laid back & cool. A lot of people think the problem is with the VH boys. I worked at the Pensacola Civic Center when VH had Sammy Hagar. Sammy was totally cool, but I heard Alex being kinda curt with his sound guys, saying NO IFs ANDs OR BUTs. I worked a lot of shows and never heard a drummer talking to his sound people that way. After the show I had to walk through the back stage area to get somewhere, and Eddie was talking to his manager, he asked his Manager: So Holland is an option? - and he looked over at me to make sure I heard that question. I remember thinking, like please dude...why do you have to try to impress me? Who the hell am I to you? I always thought after that that he might have the kind of personality that can get on your nerves. Maybe it's the combination of the two VH bros...and the whole naming the band after them thing just went to their heads.
