News and Notes

A few interesting pieces of news floating around today. Check it:

De Novo Dahl have apparently left Nashville's Theory 8 Records to sign with... wait for it... Roadrunner Records. Awesome. Now we might finally get that De Novo Dahl / Cradle of Filth / DragonForce tour we've all been hoping for. Oh, and the band's new album is being produced by Dave Fridmann. (Thanks to Shivvy at WOXY for catching this as at CMJ.com).

Current indie-folk sensation M Ward will apparently be sacrificing a month of his life (and a lifetime of credibility) opening for Norah Jones.

Apparently Bob Mould doesn't like to back up his hard drive any more than I do, and a recent hard drive crash might have destroyed an entire new album of material. Could it be that world has lost the next truly great rock and roll album? Probably not.

Finally, if you're quick you can be one of the first kids on your block to own the new Eames Era album, entitled Heroes and Sheroes. The album comes out nationwide on April 17th, but the band is making 200 copies available for pre-sale on its website. I can guarantee you there are no more than 199 left.

Check out a couple of tunes from the new disc (and go here for a third):

"Both Hands Full"
"When You Were a Millionaire"
