The Frames Hitting Town Hall on April 24th

I've been hoping for months that this was just a nasty rumor being floated by Glen's tour manager, but alas, it's not. The Frames are scheduled to play New York's worst "rock venue," Town Hall, on Tuesday, April 24th. No word yet as to when tickets go on sale.

I could use this post as an opportunity to regale you with stories of terrible acoustics and disappointing Town Hall shows (Ryan Adams, Wilco, Josh Rouse), or bellyache about missing the days of seeing the Frames at Joe's Pub or the Bowery, or even complain about the fact that the band is playing in arguably their biggest U.S. stronghold of fans on a Tuesday (?!?!) night.

But, no, I'll refrain from these things, and I will choose to focus on the fact that the best live band in the world in coming back to my hometown in just over three months' time. And God bless 'em for that.
