U2 Recording With Rick Rubin

One band I mention even less on this blog than Keane is U2. I'd say I respect but don't really like the first half of their catalog, but I can't freakin' stand anything they've done since Bono decided his shit doesn't stink (sometime in the early-mid 90's).

Anyway, even though I don't really care for them, I thought it was interesting when I noticed on Billboard that U2 is recording their new album with Rick Rubin. Seriously, that's one of the oddest pairings I've ever heard.

They're also going to recording a song for the album with, ahem, Green Day.

If you ever wanted to hear a musical interpretation of a bad bowel movement, that's gonna be it.
