M:I-3 Kinda Sucks

Yep, that's my 2 second review. Enjoy.

(Action parts - fun. Story - dumb, patched-together. Non-main characters - useless. Philip Seymour Hoffman - great in his 8 seconds of screen time. Cruise - no personality, at all. All Tom Cruise movies are instantly forgettable.)

Onto more interesting things..

Following up on yesterday's Soul Asylum mention, Chromewaves points out that a second new song, "Oxygen", is streaming at the band's MySpace page. Also notable on their MySpace site is an itinerary for a short summer tour that includes gigs at "Taste of Minnesota", Mohegan Sun, Sleazeside New Jersey, and Irving Plaza right here in NYC (August 3rd). Alrighty then.

Although they claimed to be bored this week, The Torture Garden had a great little series dedicated to covers. They've got Bright Eyes covering Daniel Johnston, The Damned covering The Beatles, Sufjan Stevens covering Tim Buckley, and much more. Go check it out. This ain't boredom, kids. THIS is boredom.

Did you know that The Arcade Fire had done a video for "Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)"? I didn't. Videoteque did. Go watch. It is exactly as odd and interesting as you'd expect.

That's it for now. More later.
