Lots of Little Ones News

Lot of news in the world of The Little Ones.

First, the good news -- the band, which was one of my favorite new bands back in 2006, is set to release both a new EP and their debut full-length LP this year. The EP, entitled Terry Tales & Fallen Gates, comes out on April 8th via the band's Branches Recording collective label. The LP, entitled Morning Tide, will then come out sometime in the summer.

Exactly who's releasing the LP is the bad news... The band has been dropped by Astralwerks/Heavenly. This actually happened in January, but I just heard about it today. Too bad.

But back to the good news -- the band is regrouping and has announced a two-month long nationwide tour with Ra Ra Riot. Sadly for me, there's no DC date (and I doubt I'll drive up to Baltimore), but I am gonna try to catch both bands in Austin later this week.

Be sure to check them out if they come through your town. They're a great band, and they deserve better than they got from Astralwerks (though, to the label's credit, they did give the band their masters back).
